wow, thanks! uh it's been nearly two and a half years since i made this song, i've been considering making more songs in this style but haven't gotten around to it. nonetheless i'll explain how i made this

really the key to acid's sound is distortion. the main bass/lead consists of three saw waves stacked in octaves and fm modulating each other in series with distortion, the risers and melodies are basic waves (saw, square) but sound really buzzy due to being distorted together, there's saturation in the busses and on the master, etc

apparently acid originally used sytrus to make these sounds, but i didn't use sytrus here (it's all sunvox). really it shouldn't be hard to replicate these sounds using any basic synth and saturation plugins :)

other than that fast drum patterns, weird dissonant melodies/scales (like the ionian aug #2 scale i've used here), and overall a healthy amount of aggression in arrangement should get you there
